Interested in the thrill of instant win scratch cards but prefer the convenience of online shopping? Tesco UK now offers a selection of National Lottery scratch cards available for purchase through their website. This article details how to buy a full pack‚ what to expect‚ and important considerations.
What Scratch Cards are Available Online?
Tesco’s online scratch card selection isn’t exhaustive like in-store‚ but they typically feature popular options. Currently (as of late 2023/early 2024)‚ you can usually find:
- £1 Cards: Often featuring smaller prizes and higher odds of winning something.
- £2 Cards: A step up in prize potential.
- £3 Cards: Offering larger potential payouts.
- £5 & £10 Cards: The highest price points with the biggest jackpots.
The specific cards available change regularly as the National Lottery releases new games. Check the Tesco website for the most up-to-date offerings.
How to Buy a Full Pack
Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Visit the Tesco Website: Go to https://www.tesco.com/lottery/
- Age Verification: You’ll need to verify you are 18 or over. This is a legal requirement.
- Browse Available Cards: Select the scratch card game you want to purchase.
- Choose ‘Full Pack’: Instead of individual cards‚ select the option to buy a ‘Full Pack’. A full pack typically contains 50 cards.
- Add to Basket: Add the full pack to your Tesco online shopping basket.
- Checkout: Proceed to the checkout as you would with any other Tesco online order.
- Delivery/Collection: Choose your preferred delivery or collection method. Note that scratch cards are often available for collection at Tesco stores‚ which is usually faster.
Important Considerations
- Age Verification: Tesco is very strict about age verification. Be prepared to provide proof of age if requested.
- Responsible Gambling: Scratch cards can be addictive. Set a budget and stick to it. Resources are available at BeGambleAware.
- Prize Claims: Smaller prizes are automatically credited to your Tesco account. Larger prizes require a claim process – details will be provided on the scratch card and on the Tesco website.
- Availability: Online stock can fluctuate. If a full pack is unavailable‚ check back later.
- Cost: A full pack’s cost depends on the card price (e.g.‚ a pack of 50 x £1 cards costs £50).
Checking Your Winnings
Tesco provides a convenient way to check your winnings online. You can scan the barcode on the scratch card using the Tesco app or enter the card number on the website.
This information is current as of January 2024. Tesco’s offerings and policies are subject to change; Always refer to the official Tesco website for the most accurate and up-to-date details.
